About Margaret

Margaret is a poet disguised as a project manager.  She has published approximately 30 poems and two short stories in the span of her writing artistic career.  Maggie, as most of the troup call her, has been performing in Renaissance faires for over six years.  She is a former member of the Society of Creative Anachronism (SCA) where she was a 12th century anglo saxon named "Brynnedd", a daughter of a wealthy merchant.

One of her most interesting jobs was as a Governess for the second largest land owner in Italy. One of Margaret's passion is people.  "I am just fascinated by people."  A people watcher, she imagines what people like and think which allows her characterizations and acting skills to shine in her character as Cecilia, princess of Baden.

Along with her passion for Painting, Writing, and Dancing, she has the most beautiful mind, loving heart, and youthful spirit.

Margaret is the Guildmistress of the Pirates of St Pete (aka Ambassadors of Saint Peter)

About Peg Leg Meg

Peg Leg Meg lived with her family in a small fishing village on the coast of France.   She was the oldest of five children and the only girl.   When she was 13 years of age, pirates raided her town.  Her parents were killed trying to protect their family.  Her youngest brother Charles, seven years old at the time, escaped into the woods.  Her other three bothers - Henry, George, and Willy - were captured and taken away, never to be seen by her again.  She was taken to the captain's ship.  The captain, Randy Roger Redbeard, admired her feistiness and fighting spirit.  She did not go without a fight.  Meg managed to kill one of the pirates, stab another in his sword arm, cut off another one's wrist, and committed all sorts of biting, scratching, and pummeling wounds on others.  He decided to take her as his property and, eventually, his wife.

They lived somewhat happily (hard to do with her temper) for many years until he was killed in a pirate raid.  Meg, having been a fierce fighter and a no-holds-barred pirate, became captain of the fleet consisting of twenty-three ships.  One night, having been out with her "boys" rompin' and drinkin', she got into a fight with herself and slashed her leg to the bone.  It soon became infected, in spite of the rum in Meg and on Meg, and the leg had to be amputated.  Never had the priates seen suuch courage - not one whimper from Meg as they sawed through her bone.  From then on she was known as Peg Leg Meg, the bravest, strongest, and meanest pirate of all.
