About James McCollins

James was born in a port pub in north Ireland.  Early in life he was brought on board of his father's raiding ship the "Cannon Fodder".  He learned the ways of the spy by getting information from merchants by asking them about their home ports as well as getting info about distant lands from travelers.  At that age, his mother gave him the name Fox because of his stealthy ways around the ship.  As a young man, he learned more about stealth, information acquisition, swords, daggers, and marksmanship.  Unfortunately his family had made many enemies and one day after a raiding run that left the "Cannon Fodder" in northern France, his family and the crew met death at the hands of the ships second-in-command Harold Barthel.  The only survivor of the mutiny was James who was looking for a fence to offload the latest "shipment".  When he returned he found only his families' lifeless bodies on the shore and his father's ship sinking in the distance.  After this he swore vengeance on Harold, but with no ship he had to walk back to Spain.  Once in Spain, James went to a favorite drinking hole where he got quite drunk.  One of the other patrons overheard James telling Alex Wolf the story of his family's death.  Another patron of the bar started making light of James's late mother at which point he found himself struck in the cheek bone by James's tankard.  Alex stopped James from killing the poor unconscious drunk and they left.  The next day James met the rest of the group and chose to join up in hopes of revenge against Harold Barthel.  Alex made James the Lieutenant of Wolf's Blood shortly after receiving commission from William, Prince of Orange.
