About Shannon
Shannon is a relative newcomer to Faires; she attended her first one in 2007. After talking over the possibility of attending one a few months before the actual faire, and learning that attendees sometimes dressed up in period clothing, she started researching garments and styles. Before too long, Shannon was at the fabric store, and the rest, as they say, is history. Her attention to detail and skill as a seamstress can be seen in her costumes fine detail. This year, Shannon is breaking new ground. She will become the Marquise de Rothelin.

About Jacqueline de Rohan, Marquise de Rothelin
Jacqueline de Rohan lived from 1520 to 1587 and was the daughter of Charles de Rohan and Jeanne de Saint-Severin. Her Husband, Francois of Orleans-Longueville, Marquis de Rothelin, died in 1548. In watching her son's interest in Neuchatel, was she brought into contact with the reformers in Switzerland. She then embraced protestantism and turned her Chateau at Blandy, in Brie, into a refuge for Huguenots. In 1567 she underwent a term of Imprisonment at the Louvre for harbouring Prostestants.
